The Nigerian Immigration Lawyers Association ( NILA) has congratulated Mrs Kemi Nana Nandap on her well deserved appointment as the Comptroller General ( CG ) of the Nigeria Immigration Service ( NIS ).
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved the appointment of Mrs Nandap as the CG of the NIS effective from 1st March 2024.
In a statement dated 15th March 2024 and jointly signed by the President of NILA, Prof Epiphany Azinge SAN and the Vice President Prince Ebere Nwokoro the Association described Mrs Nandap’s appointment as a testament to her “ unwavering commitment to public service “ and expressed confidence that under her guidance and leadership “ the Nigeria Immigration Service will be better repositioned to secure and manage our borders while building a fair and orderly immigration system “.
“ We look forward to working with you not only to develop closer relations between our organizations but also to concert our efforts in commitment to promoting and enhancing the development of fair and reasonable immigration laws and policies in Nigeria “, NILA further stated.
NILA is a voluntary association of lawyers, law teachers and policy advocates practicing, teaching and researching in the field of immigration law in Nigeria. Its mission includes the promotion and enhancement of the development of fair , reasonable and efficient immigration laws , policies and practices in Nigeria.
